Mérite 6 étoiles ! Ce gîte est parfait! Le propriétaire est très gentil et très aidant si vous avez besoin. Les chambres sont spacieuses, tout est propre, la salle d'eau est parfaite, les matelas sont confortables... Vous êtes au calme, seul le bruit des oiseaux peut vous réveiller le matin... Great place to base in Allapy Jose’ home stay was just perfect. Long travel and arrived to a choice of good to great large rooms all with option of aircon. Super clean, comfortable and local home cooking to die for. We stayed one night, then Jose organised the rest. Great places to eat, found us an epic little coffee shop on the canal, organised all our tours from local water taxis to canoe trips in the backwaters to an epic coupla nights on one of his house boats. Jose will look after you until he can’t anymore and you are leaving with the biggest smile ever. This seems to be his mission. We will be back.

Most welcoming host I’ve ever met! The homestay feels like a cosy, welcoming home like our own. Jose, host of Kalappura is professional and thoughtful. Upon arrival he sends a text with places to eat around, and coordinates of the homestay to show locals/tuktuk drivers if we get lost. Jose invited me to join him on his daily routine to the night market for fresh food purchase for tomorrow’s meal at the homestay and his houseboats. It was a local experience that nobody else can offer. An absolute privilege and delight. I enjoyed my time there playing with his children Annie, Angel and Andrew. The homestay is a cool respite in hot hot Kerala, and the shower in my room was cold for the night but it is okay for me. Best part was the houseboat overnight stay Jose organised for me on a last minute’s request. His boat is large and spacious. The bed is king size and luxurious, and shower’s hot. Food served on board has fresh caught fish, and the boatsmen are sweet. He checks once in a while via text to make sure all’s well. Extremely thoughtful experience. Felt like it came from the heart, and I feel like family.

Really nice stay 🙂 We enjoyed staying at Kalappura Homestay. The room was very clean, big and hot water was running. It's a calm place, the house is sourrounded by a big garden with fruit trees. We really appreciated the heart warming and kind hospitality. The food was amazing. Thank you! 🙂

Best trip and experience I've ever had I was recently at Kalappura Homestay last week with my cousins. It was truly one of the best experiences I ever had in hospitality. Jose was so nice and accomidating and truly made us feel at home. We were able to take a personalized cooking class with him and he also setup a variety of water activities for us while we stayed there. The rooms were really nice and the AC was definitely the way to go. The biggest takeaway I had from this experience was how truly amazing the food was. Indian food is great at restaurants, but having it homemade for breakfast and dinner was on another level. Thank you Jose for such a memorable experience. It's one I won't forget! Highly recommend staying here over other options like hotels or other AirBnB's.

Great time at kalappura Jose was great.. Room and balcony were relaxing and clean.. Good location away from all the noise but five minutes walk and you are in the city Jose helped me to book a kanu ride which was fun and relaxing. Thank u jose:)

Good meals and air conditioning I will NEVER stay here again until the mattresses are changed. They are extremely WORN OUT and not worth it to stay if you want a nights sleep........ The air conditioning was very good and the bathroom was clean.

Handy to town and great host I highly recommend this Homestay as it was clean and comfortable and very close to town but incredibly quiet. The host was amazing, everything was organised for me to see The Backwaters which is why I was at the Homestay in the first place. I definitely would say it was the highlight of my trip.

Great host and wonderful home Our host helped us out in every part of our stay both with him, the houseboat which he organised for us and recommendations for places to stay when we moved on (which were also brilliant). He is very friendly and nothing was too much effort. The room we had was brilliant, clean, airy, cool, good bathroom and lovely balcony. The breakfast was lovely, the location very peaceful despite being very central. Highly recommend visiting Allepey where everyone is very friendly and helpful, and in particular this homestay and the linked houseboat. Real highlight of our trip.
